Cancer is one of the top three causes of death in the developed world and an ever-increasing problem in every country. It is everybody’s business to understand the risk factors and to know some of the ways you can protect yourself against developing cancer and slowing the progression if it does occur.

This in-depth discussion will consider herbs, diet, and specific nutrients to prevent cancer, as well as key herbs and strategies for actively treating cancer, including cytotoxic herbs. We shall discuss an overview of the Prescribing Pyramid and consideration of safety, of herb/drug interactions, and of appropriate dosing. We shall also consider the principles of collaborative medicine and what this term means in clinical practice, including the overlap of traditional Chinese medicine and Western herbal medicine
